Experience
Director of Business Development, Stewart Law
January 2016 – Present
Playing a vital component in opening and growing this business. Opened in 2016 as a 2-person, “boot-strapping” operation to a profitable, 13+ full-time employees, real estate owning enterprise. Solely responsible for managing and maintaining the firm’s accounting through QuickBooks, tax preparer, and liaison with financiers when securing capital to further the operational endeavors. Oversees that the firm and its employees are compliant in relation to The Florida Bar, State and local regulations, as well as proper insurance to minimize risk and eliminate future liabilities.
- Ensure that all business functions are operative, and the processes are effective and meeting our organization goals. This involves establishing and implementing policies and procedures for the practice.
- Successfully set up a virtual law firm in addition to a fully functioning brick and mortar; this included vetting several software programs to fit our needs and setting up software for all employees, local and in satellite locations. When COVID-19 struck, the firm was well set-up to work remotely without any loss of productivity.
- Sole organizer in planning and hosting marketing and charity events. This included working with vendors, marketing the events, and ensuring the events ran smoothly.
- After successful marketing and networking endeavors, selected by the Melbourne Regional Chamber to become an ambassador and to serve on the Membership Board to implement policies to better serve and grow the chamber's membership. Invited to speak to membership to formally present importance on on-line marketing and best practices.
Office Manager, OMNI Healthcare
November 2014 – April 2016
Initially hired to rehabilitate a failing office. After 3 months re-training and stream-lining operations, this office became the company’s training office. During this period, the large company was learning a new Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, as well as undergoing transition from ICD-9 to ICD-10.
- Lead a team regarding daily operations at a primary care practice. This included mentoring employees to reviewing processes and making motions for improvement. I assisted employees with human resources concerns, surveyed their progress concerning vital tasks, and managed their schedules at multiple locations.
- Submitted daily charges for all medical and hospital procedures done by the office’s physicians. Assisted payers in evaluating the facility and patient records. Planned and implemented strategies to maximize Medicare reimbursement relating to HEDIS measures and risk assessments. Ensured quality of care and research patient complaints and relay incident reports when appropriated. Counselled providers when needed to elevate level of care.
Practice Coordinator, CuraLase
August 2012 – November 2014
The second office of an aspiring franchise. Played instrumental role in writing and perfecting treatment procedures and initiating processes for this organization.
- Vital role in planning and hosting marketing dinners. Assisted negotiating newspaper advertising and restaurant vendors. Confirmed attendance of prospective clients. Hosted and many times presented treatment information during 1-hour presentations done weekly.
- Ensured that all business functions were operative, and the processes were effective and meeting our organization goals. Direct supervisors were out of state and constant updates were provided.
- If understaffed or emergencies arose, I would handle patients directly and facilitate treatments. This would include patient note-taking, patient evaluations, and collaborating with doctors on implementing proper treatments.

- Planned and executed the seminars over the last five years to host more than 200 student ambassadors each year with a 30-person volunteer team.
